We had a delicious lunch at the Korean BBQ spot near our house today. The food was really good, and we ended up ordering way too much – as per usual! – but the leftovers will definitely be yummy. Since I wasn’t driving, I had half a bottle of soju, which turned out to be super potent. Thankfully we were able to bring the rest of the bottle home to finish up later.

We had Buldak gyoza for dinner tonight, and they were super spicy! I really liked them, but they were a little too fiery for everyone else. Luckily, Mariko also made homemade spring rolls with shrimp and avocado, and they were absolutely delicious!

Baked brie cheese is so special. I didn’t grow up eating anything like it, so it seems so fancy whenever we have it. Since it has a pastry around it, you don’t need any extra bread or crackers, but I still like to put it on a cracker for a bit of extra crunch. So good!

Japanese beef curry on rice with a boiled egg is the absolute best! I added a bit of cheese on top (not pictured), and it made it even better.

Mariko went out for dinner with friends this evening, so I bought In-N-Out for myself and the boys. It was pretty good, but very salty. I had a bunch of fries in the freezer to eat, so I didn’t order any with my burger, but Koa really likes In-N-Out fries so he got some to go with his 3×3 burger. I went with my normal cheeseburger Animal Style light spread, and Bay got his cheeseburger with grilled onions. It was a yummy meal!

I had instant ramen for dinner tonight. It looked pretty simple at first, but it turned out to have a surprisingly fancy scallop-flavored broth that tasted wonderful. It made for a very nice change of pace from my usual spicy ramyun!

Today Bay made us some cocktails inspired by the TV show Twin Peaks. It had a coffee-infused liqueur on the bottom and a blue Curaçao cream on top. It didn’t taste very good at first, but after mixing it well, it wasn’t terrible – tasted more like a very strong, boozy shake. It’s safe to say it’s one drink we won’t be having again!

I was trying to pour a basic heart for my latte art today, but it ended up looking like a dabbing rabbit. I don’t know if I’ll ever learn how to do this right!
