A few months ago I brought some plumeria clippings back from my parents’ yard in California. They’ve really started taking off now! Soon I’ll need to move them into bigger containers, but I don’t want to go too big since they’ll have to come indoors for winter. So now I’m stuck wondering, what’s the smallest pot size I can get away with? Hmm, something to figure out.

I can’t believe it’s already September – this year feels like it just got started. Anyway, here’s my lunch today: chili and egg over rice with a little crema Mexicana and jalapeño peppers on top.

I was at the car dealership getting maintenance and inspection done on Mariko’s car and I had a few minutes to check out the new cars. Wow, the wheels on this beauty were impressive! And look at that brake disc. It’s massive! So different than my Subaru.

I’ve had my Columbia sneakers for a while, but I was never a fan of the black laces. So, I swapped them out for some white laces from an old pair of running shoes, and I love the new look! In the picture, I was testing different lacing styles and ended up choosing the one on the right – clean and simple, right? The other one was just a little experiment!

I saw this little scene off to the side of the bike path today. These flowers were popping up out of the ground. I thought they were fake, or placed there by someone, but it seemed like they are completely natural. Strange, but nice!

Today’s photo is actually two. One taken as the sun was just rising, and the other as it was setting. The day seemed to go by so quickly today.

I’m thinking of cutting down my caffeine intake. It’s been hovering at 2 cups of coffee per day, but starting tomorrow, I’ll make two at the lowest “strength” setting on our machine. Let’s see how that goes. I do enjoy decaf coffee too, so maybe one cup of lighter coffee in the morning, and one cup of decaf in the afternoon?
