Tomorrow we start our 10-day vacation, so I’ve been frantically trying to finish up projects at work and handing off unfinished tasks so things can continue to be worked on while I’m away. I think everything is ready to go, but still, I’m a little worried! At any rate, I’ve decided to leave my laptop at home since I won’t have any Internet access on the cruise ship to check in at work. I guess I’ll try to just not worry about it. After all, the world isn’t going to end if something gets missed, right?

Behold, a photo of my clean Subaru Crosstrek! It’s a rare picture because I don’t wash my cars often. In fact, I think I only washed my Honda Odyssey (which I owned for ~14 years) maybe a dozen times. And my motorcycle has only been washed by the rain.

What’s the reason why my Crosstrek is clean? The body shop that replaced the windshield and fixed dent in the hood washed it. 😆

こんばんは。How’s it going?

This evening I made enchiladas for dinner, so of course, we had to have margaritas as well. This time we had mezcal margaritas… they were smoky and delicious! Most of the recipes online use 2 parts mezcal, one part lime, and 1/2 Cointreau, but I went with 2 parts lime, 1 part each of mezcal and Cointreau and it was still yummy. I think we’d be knocked out with the other recipe… but maybe we’ll give it a try tonight. 😆

Scared Dog on a Stormy Afternoon

Just like many other dogs, Lani gets freaked out by fireworks and thunder, but she still likes (or needs) to go outside during storms. The expression on her face and position of her ears in today’s photo tells you that there was plenty of thunder this afternoon. Poor puppy!

Legend of Hua Mulan 花木兰传奇 Chinese TV Drama

I started watching the 2013 Chinese drama Legend of Hua Mulan 花木兰传奇 in anticipation of the Disney live-action movie, and I am enjoying it so far. There are 48 episodes, so it’s a long-haul of a historical drama, but it’s fun and the costumes are really cool. I don’t think they are historically too accurate (the make-up is very modern) but I think they look great. And I am getting a lot of ideas for sketches too, so that’s a big bonus!
