I had instant ramen for dinner tonight. It looked pretty simple at first, but it turned out to have a surprisingly fancy scallop-flavored broth that tasted wonderful. It made for a very nice change of pace from my usual spicy ramyun!

I went for an MRI today and had to get an IV stuck in me. Afterwards, they wrapped my arm in a bandage that went around several times and felt super tight. A bit excessive? Maybe, but at any rate, it worked and the whole MRI experience – my first one – went just fine!

I picked up some new Shachihata Vermilion stamping ink to use with my chop/hanko, and it’s fantastic! The red color is deep and vibrant, plus it dries quickly and cleanly. My previous traditional paste ink was so gooey, messy, and never fully dried, so I’m very happy to be using this new ink instead!

I spotted this cloud just hanging out between our house and the next-door neighbor’s. I only had my iPhone with me, so the photo isn’t as good as yesterday’s, but it’s still quite stunning in my opinion.

I saw this beautiful cloud in the late afternoon today. I had my Fujifilm X-E5 with me, so I was able to capture a few photos of it. It’s my favorite kind of cloud photo, featuring strong crepuscular rays and beautiful light tracing the edges.

Today Bay made us some cocktails inspired by the TV show Twin Peaks. It had a coffee-infused liqueur on the bottom and a blue Curaçao cream on top. It didn’t taste very good at first, but after mixing it well, it wasn’t terrible – tasted more like a very strong, boozy shake. It’s safe to say it’s one drink we won’t be having again!

I stopped by Kinokuniya today to look at stationery and manga. I expected a few 2027 Hobonichi items, but they had way more than I thought. The single item I wanted from the 2027 line-up was actually in stock, but I managed to resist. Instead, I picked up a small sketchbook and a dot-grid notebook for drawing. Browsing stationery stores is easily one of my favorite activities these days!

Today started off with a bit of rain, but the cloudy skies eventually left and a bright sun appeared. I was happy to be able to use three of my stamps in the Hobonichi today!

I was trying to pour a basic heart for my latte art today, but it ended up looking like a dabbing rabbit. I don’t know if I’ll ever learn how to do this right!
