Now that Mariko has a really awesome pizza dough recipe, we’ve been enjoying a lot of pies lately. Tonight’s pizzas were a nice Margherita and also a half Gorgonzola/pear/honey and barbecue brisket pizza. They were all so tasty, but my favorite was the simple Margherita. I think it was because the crust was a little crispier than the half and half. Oh how I love pizza nights! ❤🍕

While on my evening bicycle ride, I spotted some strange clouds off in the distance I. We occasionally have wildfires here in central Texas, but after checking the news, the nearest one was in a different direction. So, it’s kind of a mystery what these were.

Surprisingly, I still see new and interesting things while riding around the neighborhood. This cool Volkswagen bus mailbox caught my eye. Mariko loves the old VWs, so I had to stop and take a photo. 😀

We probably shouldn’t eat too much fried food, but how can you resist katsu (deep-fried pork cutlet)? Along with miso soup and shredded cabbage, we had some ume-garlic, which was yummy. My first time trying it!

By the way, Lani likes to eat her dinner while we eat ours, and here she is waiting for us to fill up her food bowl. 🐶
