I took a few photos of the clouds on my walk today. I love how the airplane contrail captured that sharp change in direction – pretty neat to see!

I caught this cloud on my way to meet a friend for Friday lunch. Absolutely beautiful!

I spotted this cloud just hanging out between our house and the next-door neighbor’s. I only had my iPhone with me, so the photo isn’t as good as yesterday’s, but it’s still quite stunning in my opinion.

I saw this beautiful cloud in the late afternoon today. I had my Fujifilm X-E5 with me, so I was able to capture a few photos of it. It’s my favorite kind of cloud photo, featuring strong crepuscular rays and beautiful light tracing the edges.

The cloudy weather continued today. In the morning there were some magnificent formations catching the first rays of sun, and then in the afternoon we got a bit of rain and a nice cloud show before sunset. I wasn’t complaining.

After several days of full sun and extreme heat, we finally got a little rain this afternoon. It was so refreshing. And as a bonus, it gave us some really nice colors at sunset.

To beat the heat, my walks have been timed around sunset lately. It’s a good call for more than one reason. When there are clouds in the sky, they look their best at this hour. That warm light on them is hard to beat.

When we’re hanging out in the living room in the evening, I can see the sky starting to turn colors through the window. When it goes orange, pink, and purple like this, I know it’s time to head upstairs to the loft window and see what kind of shots I can get. Tonight was pretty nice!

Now that we’re no longer hosting guests in the upstairs loft, I can finally get back to taking photos like this. Yay!

Is it cloud season yet?
