I went for an MRI today and had to get an IV stuck in me. Afterwards, they wrapped my arm in a bandage that went around several times and felt super tight. A bit excessive? Maybe, but at any rate, it worked and the whole MRI experience – my first one – went just fine!

On our walk to dinner we crossed the Tatsuno Bridge, over the Ibo River (Ibogawa). Then on the way back home, I grabbed a few more photos while there was still just a little light left in the sky.

My son left today for a road trip to see friends. Before he headed out, he put this little bit of free merch from the movie Obsession on the dashboard, which he saw recently. I don’t know if there’s any significance to it, but I thought it was kind of cool. Small moments like that stick with you.

On my lunch run today, I passed an open field covered in golden wildflowers. It stopped me in my tracks (and I had to take this photo). I love watching how this spot changes through the seasons. From March to July it’s actually a protected Monarch Butterfly habitat, so hopefully the butterflies remember it’s here and make a pit stop on their migration. It’s a good little field.

I spotted this pristine VW Beetle while walking around downtown Dayton today. It looked great sitting there next to all those classic buildings. They were a perfect match!

While out on my run today, I spotted these roses in someone’s front garden and just had to stop for a photo. They are so pretty. Whoever tends that garden is doing a wonderful job.
