こんばんは! How’s it going?

Today’s weather improved a lot! It was sunny, warm, and a wonderful day to be outside! Even though I was working, our new office has plenty of windows so I can enjoy the sunshine, even from indoors. It’s very nice. ☀️

Our office is a bit closer to home, but besides the proximity, I also have the opportunity to take a different route for the commute – one that does not involve the freeway or toll-road. It’s only a minute or two longer, but I can save a lot of money by taking this route. So these past two days I’ve taken this new route, and I think it’s much better. I’m pretty happy about that!

Today’s photo is of the pens that I bought for writing notes on my Instax prints. I love the rainbow of colors, so I took this out-of-focus photo using my X100T. I was actually focusing on a reflection in the pen case, so even though the pens were only about 10 inches from the camera, the focus point was about 3 feet away. Anyways, I liked the blurry photo and enhanced it a bit in Lightroom, bumping up the clarity and contrast, reducing noise, and increasing the whites.

I hope you had a great Tuesday! Tomorrow is Star Wars day. Woohoo!

こんばんは! Hello, how’s it going?

Today’s weather was strange… it got down into the chilly 60s in the day, but then this evening, dropped into the 50s. Crazy! It was too bad, but there was enough rain for Koa’s baseball game was canceled. ☔

It was a big day at work because the entire Austin team was together in the new office building. As you can imagine, everyone who moved in today was busy unpacking boxes, getting their computers set up, and just getting oriented. It was a lot of fun, but we also had a lot of work to do. It’s a pretty great space, with open views, plenty of coffee machines (yay! ☕), and a nearby lunch café. And as a bonus, it’s a shorter commute for me! 🚙 I am very happy with the office, and I’m glad I got to contribute by coordinating the artwork for the new space. It helped that we had and awesome visual/interior artist! 🎨

I hope you had a nice Monday!

こんばんは! How’s it going?

Today was a super-relaxing day. Although in the morning I tried (unsuccessfully) to fix our refrigerator water line, the rest of the day was very nice. Even the DIY part was fun!

So, what did I do today? Well, I finished reading “Kiki Strike: Inside the Shadow City” which is the first in a series of fun YA books. I have the second book and I’ve already started reading it. Most of the day was spent with music playing on the stereo, reading, and playing with the dog and cats. It was a great day!

The cats are pretty funny. As I mentioned before, they are sisters and play a lot together. But they do have distinct personalities. For instance, the calico has taken a motherly role, while the black and white cat is the naughty one. She likes to climb on top of the aquarium and knock off the toys we have up there. But they are also a lot alike, and they are both active at the same time, and they also get tired at the same time and fall asleep together. It’s really cute!
