“Speed Twin with Bell” Austin, 2025
Today I went to look at motorcycles with my friend and I came across my future bike, or at least the same model. This one had only 200 miles on the odometer and a few add-ons, so it would be a good deal for someone. I prefer a different livery for the Triumph Speed Twin 900, so I wasn’t too tempted to buy this one.
What caught my eye, though, was a small bell attached to the bottom of the frame. It’s called a gremlin bell and it’s meant to ward off the little troublemakers that cause mechanical problems. I read that you cannot buy the bell for yourself but instead it has to be given to you by a loved one. What a neat tradition!
