“Morning Light” Cedar Park, 2023
The light caught my eye this morning. It made a nice glow through the bottle.

My new favorite weapon in Splatoon 3 is the Tri-Stringer and Inkline Tri-Stringer. I find it so fun to play a backline support weapon! And with the Toxic Mist sub-weapon, it’s really satisfying to shut down the enemy’s forward progress. I hope my team appreciates it. The kill count may not be very high, but it’s a decent inker and effective way crowd control weapon to help get the win. Plus I think it looks pretty cool.

I’ve started to drink more decaf coffee during the week, and grinding the beans by hand and pouring thru the filter has become a process I really enjoy! And I think the flavor is really good! I’m using a Hario filter and decanter which flows well so I am not waiting a long time like I have to do with my metal filter. I like that. Yum.

We enjoyed our leftover Osechi new years meal in a yummy curry. It’s actually a tradition which I am so happy exists! It’s the only time I get to have lotus root in curry. 😀
On a related note, I was chatting with someone online about curry, and she was wondering why Java curry comes divided into 8 parts, but the package indicates 9 servings. I had to check for myself… so strange!! 🤣

I am so happy that Mariko made two loaves of bread today! Yay! That means yummy sandwiches for my lunches coming up. I will never get tired of sandwiches or burgers, and the homemade bread or buns really level them up big-time.

I went for a lunch ride with Piplup, my Brompton bicycle, today along the hike and bike trail. It was a yucky, grey, and cold day as you can see from the picture. But the upside was that there weren’t many people on the trail. So that was nice. 😄
