“Lunchtime Break” Cedar Park, 2024

I spent my lunch break with Piplup, riding along the local hike and bike trail. It was such a relaxing activity. I love weekday lunch rides because the trail isn’t crowded, and everyone sharing it has more in common, leading to more friendly waves. 😄

“Nausicaa” Austin, 2024

I went to the theater with a friend to watch Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and it was fantastic! Having only seen this Studio Ghibli classic on a small screen before, experiencing it on a big screen was truly amazing. The visuals and story were captivating, and the soundtrack was incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and now I’m learning the main theme song on the ukulele.

“Chile Verder Stew” Cedar Park, 2024

I made a comforting chile verde pork stew today. I thought it was pretty good, but I would love to put chunks of potato in it next time. Mariko says that doesn’t sound as appealing though, as she’s not as big a “potato person” as I am. 😀
