UNIQLO Visit

“Shopping” Costa Mesa, 2022

It’s a short weekend trip to SoCal, but with no plans besides taking Koa to his auditions, I had time to head to my favorite store, UNIQLO. This particular location in South Coast Plaza is one I haven’t been to before, so I was excited to visit it. And I was able to convince my brother and sister-in-law to join me. Bonus! 😀

I ended up getting three v-neck t-shirts which will replace some old v-necks that are showing their age. What’s nice about the UNIQLO t-shirts is that they are a thinner fabric than my Old Navy shirts, so I’ll have more space in the shirt drawer. In fact, I am replacing six t-shirts with the three UNIQLO shirts. It feels good to upgrade and declutter at the same time!

“Giants Plane” Austin, 2022

The airplane we are flying on is sporting a San Francisco Giants logo, which is weird since we are traveling from Austin to Los Angeles. I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re refused landing by the control tower at LAX!

“Dark Plane” 2021

We made it home to Austin safely this evening. I wore my N95 mask at the airport and on the plane, and I felt pretty safe. Maybe the airport was kind of sketchy because people weren’t masking as much, but on the plane I think we were okay with the filtered ventilation and mandatory masking. In addition, we had empty seats next to us so that was nice.

On a negative note, I watched The Green Knight but I thought it was horrible. 😜

A Visit to Redondo Beach Pier

Today Mariko and I went down to the Redondo Beach Pier to walk around for a bit. We come here every year it seems, and it has stayed relatively the same all this time. Of course there are a few changes, such as the Fun Factory being gone, but landmarks such as Quality Seafood, Naja’s, and Tony’s still remain. 😊

Vacation Ramen

“Ramen Time” Torrance, 2021

Usually one of the first meals we have when we visit family in Torrance is CoCo Ichibanya curry, but this year we opted to try Josui Ramen. It was yummy! The service wasn’t the best (and the timing of when the food came out was not optimal), but the portions were large and the broth was delicious and very hot. Recommended!
