“Lani Snapshot” Cedar Park, 2023
Today’s photo is of Lani, silently complaining with here eyes that her food bowl is empty…

I recently got an Insta360 X3 camera and went out for a ride with Kiki today to get some footage. I tried out different camera angles, and wanted to make a little video, but my GoPro footage was no bueno. I had the camera set too low… Oh well. But I did learn a lot about mounting the camera in different locations. And of course the riding is always fun. 😄

We didn’t have any eclipse glasses, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the solar eclipse! We used the pinhole technique to safely observe the sun’s crescent shape. We also loved seeing the cool crescent-shaped shadows of the leaves. It was really cool!

I’m not sure when we got our current rice cooker, but it must have been in the late 90s. It’s still going strong, even though the pot is getting a little old and scratched. I can’t imagine how much delicious rice ごはん it has cooked for us over the years. It’s truly amazing!
