Tonight we had dinner at Yokocho, a Japanese restaurant that serves a variety of small izakaya-style dishes and drinks. They also offer ramen and udon if you’re in the mood for a comforting bowl of noodles.
What makes Yokocho stand out is the decor—it feels like stepping into Japan from about 75 years ago. Very cool atmosphere!

As for the food, I thought it was just okay, but the overall experience was definitely interesting and worth checking out.

“Cocktails” Pasadena, 2025

Tonight we met up with some friends for dinner at Nick’s in Pasadena. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious. Mariko and I both really enjoyed our cocktails too. I ordered the Crisp Martini and Mariko had a glass of Italian brut rosé. Yum!!!

Afterward, we took a short walk over to Erewhon, an upscale supermarket just down the street. I was curious about how the prices stacked up against our go-to HEB, so I pulled out the HEB app to compare. On average, things seemed to be about 35% more expensive – but the place was definitely sleek and trendy.
