This evening I went to see Shin Kamen Rider on the big screen. It was fantastic! I didn’t know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised at the fast-paced action, storyline, and cool effects. It’s so neat to watch a tokusatsu-style movie with today’s actors. Recommend!

Many people here in the States fire up the barbecue grill for Memorial Day, and I was no different this year. On the menu was char-siu-style chicken thighs. They are sweet and have a hint of Chinese five-spice for a distinctive char-siu flavor. Yummy!

Today one of our friend’s coffee shop location closed down for good. They had a big celebration with live music, a bake sale (by my wife!), and live-painting by our friend Pee-Yellow. It was lots of fun! Sad to see this location close down as it was our friend’s first brick and mortar restaurant site, but their other coffee shop’s location will continue on. ☕
