Tonight’s dinner was a simple and delicious fried rice, paired with pork gyoza (store bought). It’s the classic combination. 😀
I used Just One Cookbook’s recipe, but used Portuguese sausage instead of char siu. It’s kind of a Hawaiian style fried rice I guess. Yummy. And I doubled the recipe so we have leftovers. Yay!
I went to Kinokuniya today because they had a special MD Paper 15th Anniversary display I wanted to check out. I use MD paper in my Traveler’s Notebook and love the quality! I actually don’t need anything but I bought a gift for someone special. 😀
Kinokuniya is such a cool store… I spent an hour just going up and down the aisles looking at all the neat stationery, illustration books, and fountain pens. It’s so easy to empty your wallet here…

Days are getting warmer and longer, which means that evening bicycle rides are getting more pleasant. I enjoy picking up the mail at our mailbox which is just down the street, and then continuing on for a lazy cruise around the neighborhood. It’s fun to say hello to all the other people out enjoying their evening strolls.
It’s funny, but most people don’t wave, but almost everyone waves back. This was something that stuck with me when I read Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come: One Introvert’s Year of Saying Yes by Jessica Pan when she was reaching out to strangers. I also like to wave when I’m running – always to other runners, and sometimes to walkers a bicyclists. And 95% of them wave back.

I use a Fujifilm X-series camera for most of the photos on this site and my Instagram. Why not pick one up for yourself?
