This little chickadee was enjoying the water that I put out for the birds and squirrel. It’s still hot here in Texas so I make sure to fill up our (not) fancy bird bath with fresh water every morning. I think they appreciate it!

A new Thai restaurant named Lemongrass opened recently near us, and I saw that you can choose the spiciness level from 1-10. This got me excited because with a scale like that, it must mean they are serious about the level of heat, right? And since CoCo Ichibanya also has a 1-10 scale, it would be fun to compare.
With that in mind, I went ahead and ordered a level 10 Panang Curry, and Bay ordered a level Green Curry. Both were delicious! But, I am sorry to report that the spiciness level was a bit too mild for me. The level 10 was probably equal to a 5 or 6 at CoCo. 😒
Oh well, the curries were really good, nonetheless, and the rest of the menu looks great as well. I can’t wait to try more dishes from Lemongrass!
We’ve been having super-high temperatures lately, but we’ve also been enjoying some beautiful cloud formations. I made a video of the clouds off to the west this evening. I think they looked particularly cool. I love them.

Today the temperature was about 103°F / 39.4°C when I went out for a bicycle ride. It might be too hot for some, but I really wanted to get some exercise and didn’t feel like running was a good option, so I decided to go riding with Mango, my Kona Blast bicycle. She is super comfy, with an upright seating position, cushy handlebars, and granny gears so I can keep the effort on hills to a minimum.
I also wore my white helmet which has plenty of ventilation.😀
The ride was really fun, mainly because there were hardly any other people on the trail, which can get crowded on the weekends. But it was like a ghost town at mid-day, as people were taking shelter from the heat. I loved it!

The sky was amazing as well, with plenty of pretty clouds to look at, and they provided occasional respite from the sun.
All-in-all it was a great ride. The only bummer was that my Strava crapped out and didn’t record most of it. Oh well.
