One of our friends’ kids also graduated this year, so we celebrated with them at his grad party. It was a lot of fun meeting with friends and catching up with people. Also, there was plenty of delicious food to eat. 😀 I may have eaten too much…

But seriously, all of the kids have grown up! It’s unbelievable. Congrats to all the grads this year!

こんにちは。How’s it going?

It’s been a while since I set up the camera to take a long time-lapse of the clouds from our window. But maybe just so much has been happening in my life that it only seems like it’s been a long time.

Anyways, here’s a long-ish sequence I made using my Fujifilm X-E4 and Sigma ultra-wide-angle lens. I captured an image every two seconds which resulted in about 12,000 images that I put through Adobe Lightroom and Davinci Resolve. My poor MacBook Air struggled a bit processing and rendering the images since I was also using it to do other things, but it pulled through! 😄

Anyways, here’s the result:

I hope you had a great day! またね〜

Grilled Chicken Chinese Buns

Today Mariko had two friends over to teach them how to make Chinese bao buns. My task was to grill the chicken that would be used as one of the proteins in the dish. I was of course happy to do so! The photo above is the vegan version, which uses tofu in a sweet teriyaki-style sauce. It’s also delicious. 😄

Tasting Wine in the Texas Hill Country

“Sparkling Wine” Fredericksburg, 2022

こんにちは. How’s it going?

Today we went to the Texas Hill Country near Fredericksburg to taste some wine at a few of the numerous wineries. It’s about an hour and a half drive from us, and I was the designated driver, which is fine because I love to drive. The weather was hot, but pleasant because of a breeze so sitting outside on the patios at the wineries was just about perfect! It was fun to take my mom and sister-in-law out to the Hill Country. A very nice day.
