こんばんは! Hello, how’s it going?

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there! 💐

At our house, it was an up and down kind of day. It started nicely, with coffee and then mimosas (Mariko said that all she wanted this year were mimosas!) but then Koa argued about doing his homework… which happens too often, and he had to be punished. So, that cast a dark cloud over the day. 😞 It’s unfortunate that this has to happen on Mothers Day!

After a few hours of cooling off, Koa was back to normal although the homework situation is still unresolved.

This afternoon, Mariko’s friend and daughter visited for a bit to see the new kitties. That’s the picture above… She took a photo and added it to her electronic diary, I think. The cats are a lot of fun, and provide many photo opportunities, as you can see below.

And in the last photo, you can see that Koa and I went to In-N-Out burger for dinner. It was great as always. 🍔 Mariko and Bay went off to the movies, and I’m glad that Mariko can celebrate a bit without worrying about Koa. And when they return home, I have her Mothers Day card and Godiva truffles ready for her. So, I am hoping Mothers Day ends on a good note! 🍬

こんばんは! Hello, how’s it going? I’m exhausted because of a long day, plus I threw the baseball with Koa this afternoon under the Texas sun… and that took a lot out of me! So, a very short post this evening.

Tonight’s photo is of Anko-chan, taking her afternoon nap. I placed the baseball there and she didn’t even notice it. ⚾️ In the photo below, you can see a wide shot of our livingroom, and if you look closely, you can see her on the top of the sofa. Her sister is sleeping on the other sofa, and Koa is on the beanbag watching the Cubs game. It was a very nice afternoon… exactly the kind of weekend I enjoy. 😄

Tonight we celebrated Mothers Day with an early dinner. The photo below is of Mariko’s top-shelf margarita. I had a sip, and it was excellent!! 🍸

こんばんは! How’s it going?

We made it thru another week! It’s so nice to be able to relax after work and enjoy the free time, watch the fish in the aquarium, play with the kitties, and hang out with the kids. Mariko went with some friends to the baseball game because Yu Darvish is playing with the minor league team tonight. It seems that all the Japanese people who live in Austin are at the game!

Mariko asked if I wanted to go, but since I just went to the baseball game a couple weeks ago with Koa, and I am not a fan of Darvish, I passed on it this evening. Also, the kids didn’t feel like going. I am a little surprised that Koa didn’t want to go!

Anyways, it was a relaxing evening. Tonight’s photo is of the lovely late-day sunlight coming in through the kitchen window. It’s a great hour for photos, even just everyday scenes… my favorite kind.

Looking forward to the weekend!

こんばんは! How’s it going?

Today was a busy, but productive day at work. When I got home, however, some new boxes of Instax film were waiting for me! I’m not sure how many photos I have printed out on my Instax printer since I got it at Christmas of last year, but it must be about 50 so far. Anyways, I was down to my last pack of 10 so I ordered three boxes. The price on Instax film has come down a lot in the past few years. I think it was close to a dollar a print not too long ago, but these days, you can find them for about 63 cents a print.

I just love the color that the film is capable of. Below is a photo of how I keep my family pics at work. We don’t have much shelf space in our new open-style office, so I just put some Instax prints in my Pantone book. Maybe I will get a nice flip frame for some more prints, but for now, I think this will do just fine. 😄
