Today I picked up a prescription from my local H-E-B Pharmacy, and for the first time, I used the drive-thru instead of going inside. It was incredibly convenient and saved me time, especially during a busy day.

One of the things I appreciate most about H-E-B Pharmacy is the staff. The pharmacists are always kind, professional, and willing to help. This level of customer service is something I haven’t always experienced at other pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS.

There was one instance when my doctor sent a prescription to H-E-B, and instead of simply filling it, the pharmacist took the time to call me. They let me know that the medication was available over the counter for a lower price, and that the generic version was only a few dollars. I agreed to the switch, and they canceled the original prescription to save me money.

If you’re looking for a pharmacy that puts customer care first and makes the process simple, I highly recommend H-E-B Pharmacy. Between the friendly service and the convenient drive-thru, it has become my preferred place to fill prescriptions.

Loving Curbside

As the COVID-19 pandemic surges yet again, I am thankful for HEB’s curbside service. I believe the products are marked up about 3%, but it’s so convenient to shop online and have the groceries placed into the back of the car by an HEB employee that I believe it’s well worth the extra cost. And judging by the number of other shoppers using the service, it’s gaining in popularity during the Delta variant surge.

I’ve come to really love HEB’s curbside service. It has been free during the pandemic, and HEB decided to remove any service charge permanently. It’s so convenient just to shop online, then have the bags delivered to the trunk of the car. And I’ve been satisfied with the choices that the employees have made when it comes to picking out the fresh food, like veggies and meats.

I’ll still shop in-person most of the time, so I can use my own reusable shopping bags, browse for interesting new items, and look for any bargains, but curbside is a wonderful option. It’s an especially great option for buying cat litter and food for the pets!

Texas Sunset Snapshot at the HEB

Today’s photo is a snapshot of a very common sight (at least for me). It’s a sunset from the HEB parking lot. I guess it’s just timing and the really cool clouds we have in Texas, but I get a ton of these shots. I’m very happy about this. 😀

Speaking of HEB (technically H-E-B), I think its near legendary status in the Twitterverse is rightly earned. When I first moved to Texas 20 years ago, I would have said… nah. But now when I travel back to Los Angeles and visit a Ralphs or Vons… wow, those supermarkets just cannot compare to HEB. Not only are HEBs bright, clean, usually with wide aisles, and renovated regularly, but their own brands of food are awesome, especially the Mi Comida line. My HEB has so many Mexican cheeses that are unfamiliar to me, but are all great. And the HEB “Creamy Creations” ice creams are generally awesome.

They also have a reputation of being a good employer, and their community outreach programs are also well-regarded, like their relief efforts after Hurricane Harvey and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of these factors, I’ve definitely joined the legions of HEB fans!
