I rode my Brompton to the neighborhood pond to do a bit of fishing. The water was murky and yucky but the fish were biting! And on the way home I saw that the Texas bluebonnets are starting to appear. A pretty good day.

I read the book Days at the Morisaki Bookshop a little while ago and loved it, so I had to seek the 2010 movie out. It’s maybe the first Japanese movie I’ve watched without subtitles and I was able to understand most of the dialogue. Knowing the story helped of course, but it felt good to know my Japanese language studies are actually working. 😄

The movie version was great, by the way!
