“Cool Labels” Austin, 2024
These saké bottle labels are so cool. Love them!

This afternoon I joined some friends for a Dungeons & Dragons adventure at Alamo Drafthouse. The event was called Dungeons & Drafthouse, and was hosted by a professional dungeon master, who guided us on a 3-hour adventure. It was super fun! I hadn’t played D&D since the early 80s, so it was like a blast from the distant past. We all had a great time!
Apologies but the only photo I took was when we were first getting set up. There were a total of 6 of us in the party, and the room was filled with other groups adventuring, drinking, eating, and having fun. Our party rolled several natural 20s, and a few horrible rolls as well resulting in friendly fire and a lost toe. Luckily my character was a cleric so I was able to heal us up and we suffered no deaths. Such fun!

I finally own the Splatoon 2 & 3 art books! Long ago I saw them at Kinokuniya and didn’t buy them, and kind of regretted it. This last holiday, I saw them in the store again and was about to buy them but Mariko said that she could order them for about half the price from Japan. Sure enough, they were only 2,000 yen each, vs $45 US. It just took a few weeks to arrive, but I am very happy! The art is so cool. I love the Splatoon aesthetic so much!
