Today I enjoyed a big bowl of ramen at Jidaiya. It was delicious! I was going to meet a friend here, but at the last moment, he had to reschedule for Friday. Since I had already arrived at the parking lot, I figured I would just go ahead and eat. I love ramen so much, I won’t mind coming back in a couple days.
My brother plays in a local hockey (inline skate) league so my mom and I went to watch. It looked really fun, but tiring! For a second I though about buying a pair of skates, but then quickly decided against it. I have enough going on in my life already. 😁
This evening my Mom told me that the sky was lit up with purple and pink, so we went outside to admire the colors. Apparently the neighbors were also impressed since many were outside taking photos too! It was truly breathtaking.
Today, we had a long and leisurely brunch with my extended family at The Rockefeller. It was a blast sipping mimosas with my siblings, their spouses, my mom, and my niece and nephew. It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
I’m heading to California to spend a week at my parents’ house. Gonna work during the daytime, and just hang out with the parental units for a bit. Excited!
My medicine bag (which Mariko calls my “obaachan bag”) has things like band-aids, ibuprofen, pepto-bismol, etc. But I also carry some other essentials, like tea bags and also some hot sauce packs. You never know when you need to spice up some food!
My first kimchi is a delicious success! I have a feeling we’re gonna eat it all up quickly and I’ll need to make more.
