After being on the road for a couple of months, Koa was finally home. Mariko made his favorite food, karaage, to celebrate. Karaage nites are always great.

After a few days eating out in Indy, it was nice to have a home-cooked meal. The best! And check out the double-yolk egg. Yum.
Big Breakfast

Today’s travel day started off with a big breakfast with Koa. We snagged a table at Gallery Pastry Bar and enjoyed chicken and French toast, a burger and fries, and “Bougie” eggs benedict. Delicious! What a nice way to end another fun trip to Indianapolis. Hopefully we’ll be back next year!
And as luck would have it, the person waiting our table was a Blue Devils alum!
Championship Night

Tonight, Koa’s band won the DCI Championship! The photo above is when he was setting up for the victory encore performance. All the bands were mingling on the field after the awards ceremony, celebrating the end of a long DCI season.
