Overnight Getaway

We took a mini-vacation not to far from home at Getaway Hill Country with a couple of good friends. Mariko and I were in one of the tiny cabins, while our friends were in another one, but we got to relax together outside and enjoy a campfire and some yakiniku in a safe setting. And even though the moon was out, I was able to take a half-decent photo of the stars. 😀

On the Road

We had Bay home for a few days for a mini-visit. It was great to see him and hang out, talk baseball, and make him some food. But the time went by quickly, and he had to return to school. Today’s photo was one I took on the road home after dropping him off in Houston.

Mariko had a couple of friends over to celebrate a birthday (socially-distanced outside on the deck), and one of the goodies on the menu were delicious oysters! Topped with ikura, tobiko, wasabi, and a dash of ponzu, it was excellent.
