Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying the holidays! Today we were in Orange County staying at my brother’s house. Everyone opened gifts and a good time was had by all.

It was so nice to spend time with my family… But now it is time to sleep. Take care and Merry Christmas!

Here are a few photos from our flight over from Texas to California.

Our flight was supposed to arrive at 8:15am, but there was a thick layer of fog over the Long Beach Airport, so our landing was aborted and we had to circle above Los Angeles for 45 minutes before landing. I made the most of the extra time to take a couple extra photos of the thick clouds and the Pacific Ocean.

Hi all! We are in southern California for the holidays!

It was a full day, starting at 4am to catch an early flight and we were at my hometown of Torrance by 9am. It’s been so fun hanging out with family already… I can’t wait to spend the week here with everyone. Lots of good food and fun times.

It’s already 11:21pm as I type this, so I need to sleep…

Hope you are ready for Christmas!

Star Wars night

Hi all! How’s it going? Getting ready for Christmas?

Tonight was a huge night for us. We saw Star Wars Episode 7. It was fantastic! I got chills down my spine a few times!

I won’t say more about it because I want to write a longer post but will have to do it another time because I am so tired and we have to wake up early to go to the airport. So I will just say Sweet Star Wars dreams!

One cup

Hello! How’s it going? Today was pretty slow at my work… lots of my coworkers are on holiday. I still have lots of work and projects, but it was nice to concentrate on them rather than the myriad of small tasks that always seem to pop up. But of course, it’s always nice to be busy!

A couple of weeks ago, I made a nice change in my daily routine. I started limiting myself to one cup of regular coffee in the morning, and then I drink decaf or tea the rest of the day. It’s been a great change! I think I have more energy in the day, but the real benefit that I have felt is in the quality of my sleep. I have never had a problem falling asleep, but now my sleep seems more restful, my dreams are more vivid, and when I wake up, I feel energized and with a more positive attitude. It’s been wonderful! I don’t know if this will continue, but I will enjoy it while it lasts. ☺

Tonight, the kids opened up a few of their Xmas gifts. We are traveling in a couple days, and we don’t want to bring lots of things with us, especially since the airlines are charging for checked baggage.

Tomorrow is my last day of work before vacation. I can’t wait to get to California and see my family! ✈ 🌴
