I started watching Umi no Hajimari / 海のはじまり after a fellow co-working Twitch streamer recommended it, and I’m completely hooked! It’s a really sad show, but the acting is excellent, the story is engaging, and the characters feel very real and believable. I might end up binge-watching the whole series over the next couple of days.

Today we flew back home to Texas. I had the window seat again and really enjoyed the sights from 30,000 feet. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the view from up here!

The main reason we came out to California was to see Koa perform with the Blue Devils at the Rose Bowl. We hadn’t seen the band at this venue before, and this was our last opportunity to do so. In the end, eight of us went to cheer him on! It was a lot of fun, and of course, getting to see my son for the first time in two months was really special. 😊

“Curry” Torrance, 2025

We made our obligatory trip to CoCo Ichibanya for some curry. It’s just a couple of minutes from my parents’ house, so it’s hard to resist! 😂

I ordered the pork cutlet with level 9 curry and added cheese. It was so good.
