Today I did my civic duty by attending jury duty. Happily, everyone got to go home after only an hour because there were no cases to hear – of the 7 cases scheduled for the day, 6 were settled out of court, and the 7th’s defendant was a no-show. I’m glad I didn’t have to spend the whole day (or multiple days) on jury duty because I have so much to do at work. Yay!

While browsing the freezer section of my local HEB supermarket, I was pleasantly surprised to find Jamaican patties! I’ve had these before, and while they’re not as good as the ones I’m used to, they’re a convenient and affordable option. The crust is actually pretty good, but the filling could use some improvement. Still, I’m happy to have a Jamaican patty option at my fingertips! 😀
I bought these two cans of Jamaican Vienna Sausages when I visited Port Antonio in July. My family used to eat regular Vienna Sausages when I was growing up, so I’m excited to give these a try. Will report back my findings! 😃
