We’re heading to California for a week! I’ll be working remotely from the South Bay while we spend time with family and friends. The main reason for the trip is to see Koa perform with the Blue Devils at the Rose Bowl next week. It should be a fun time!
I’m not really in the mood to celebrate the country’s birthday this year, but I’m still keeping up our tradition of grilling burgers. Tonight’s turned out pretty good! I really love a juicy burger.
I really need to start using the metronome when I practice ukulele, so I placed it front and center on my desk. Now there’s no excuse not to use it!
I finally found the perfect spot for my Fuchico figurine in her yukata – right on the base of my microphone. She looks great there! Now I just have to hope the cats don’t knock her off or run away with her.
This afternoon I went to the lab to get my blood drawn. My dermatologist ordered the test to see if it might reveal any clues about the cause of my eczema.
I was a little nervous because I’m pretty squeamish when it comes to things like this, but it actually went really well. The person who drew my blood found a vein on my arm that wasn’t in that super sensitive spot near the inside of the elbow, which made the whole process a lot easier. It barely hurt at all!
Now we just wait and see if the results offer any helpful insights.
