We enjoyed dinner at our friend’s restaurant the other night. We mostly stuck to nigiri sushi because it is awesome, but I couldn’t resist ordering the shishamo. It was yummy!

Our rice cooker must be at least 20 years old, but it still makes great rice. I wonder if new rice cookers actually do a better job, or if it’s about the same? 🤔
I was inspired by Youtuber Seaman / Japanese Moto Girl’s videos to try out a couple of new camera angles. For my previous videos I used the chin-mount, but I think I now prefer the chest-mount. I just need to angle it up a bit more (as you can see in the video). I also put the GoPro on the handlebars for the selfie view, which I also like. But since I only have one GoPro, it’s not convenient to switch out the one camera to different mounting locations.
I guess if I ever get serious about making more motorcycling videos, I can get another GoPro, but for now, I’ll be satisfied with knowing it can be done.
Honey Pig Korean BBQ just opened for business in Austin! We made it for lunch on day 2 of their soft opening, and enjoyed the lunch special which had a ton of food! It was more than the two of us could finish, so leftovers were brought home for another meal. 😀
The restaurant is fun and cool, with large TVs showing Kpop videos, and plenty of space for a nice distance between tables. The meat in the lunch special was pretty good, and I imagine the higher-priced meats would be excellent. Maybe next time (I’m sure we’ll be back) we’ll try some of the premium cuts and also some seafood dishes.

I caught these last rays of sunlight as it was getting dark this evening. I didn’t even need to post-process this photo… it’s basically SOOC (straight-out-of-camera). The natural world is pretty cool.

I use a Fujifilm X-series camera for most of the photos on this site and my Instagram. Why not pick one up for yourself?
