こんばんは。Today I was watching my favorite program “10km Run” and I noticed that the host took a photo of her shoe with the cool manhole cover. I smiled because I did the same thing when I ran in Osaka a few years ago. It’s so fun to run and sightsee/take photos.

Starting My Logbook

こんばんは。How’s it going?

Recently, I started keeping a logbook which is basically a list of things that happened during the day. It’s sort of like an after-the-fact planner. I don’t know if there is much practical value in doing this since it’s not searchable like a digital logbook would be, but I like to use my pens to write, and sometimes it’s interesting to jog my memory and just do a quick reflection on the day.

By the way, I didn’t fully dry my hands after washing them, and the ink I used is not waterproof. ☺

Thanks to Patrick for the logbook idea! Here’s the post on his blog:

Pencil to Digital (4th Time)

"Tilly" 2019
“Tilly” 2019

I have given up trying to come up with new names for these posts, so I just added “4th Time” to the title of it. But I guess since I often do these pencil sketches that end up in Adobe Illustrator, it’s become my medium(s) of choice, so that’s a good thing!

Speaking of names, I sometimes don’t know what to name each drawing. This time I named the drawing “Tilly” because I was looking at Tilly’s to see if there are any nice shirt collars to use as references. But I ended up just going with a plain t-shirt. 😜

Here’s the pencil sketch that I based the digital version from:

Decluttering Alma Mater Items

“Old Pullover” Cedar Park, 2019

While going through some of my old clothes, I came across two items from my alma maters, Torrance High School and UC Irvine. The one from high school was my old cross-country jersey. It was cool to look at it again before putting it in the trash. Its last bit of usefulness was to remind me of the good times I had running in high school. Honestly, I didn’t really enjoy cross-country. Haha. But it happened, and it gave me experiences and I learned about myself.

The other item I found is a pull-over from college. I really like the classic design and color, but it’s uncomfortable and not soft anymore. Actually, I don’t think it was ever very soft. Anyway, I was going to throw it away but then Bay decided he wanted it. I guess he’s into “college mode” or something. I’d eventually like to get a more comfortable replacement for the pull-over because I am sort of proud of graduating from UCI. It’s not really high on my list, though. 😄

Who knew decluttering could be so fun?
