こんばんは! Hello, how’s it going? Having a nice Friday?

Time has been flying by so fast… I realize that so much work has been done and it seem like it was just the new year! But besides my work life, it seems my kids’ school year has gone by so quickly as well. I cannot believe that the year is almost over. There are only a couple more weeks left. It finally hit me when my son’s end-of-year band concert came (and went!) and now he is going on his celebratory field trip with the rest of the band. 🚌

This time of year, schedules kind of get crazy. I guess they always get reshuffled a couple times a year when the kids are going to school. I should have gotten used to this by now (our oldest son is a freshman in high school), but I haven’t! It’s kind of fun though. I bet when the kids are grown up and I am retired, I will miss the times when the schedule changes. But until then, I’ll just have to go with the flow. 😀

Today’s photo is of my favorite food, which is Oyakodon, or chicken and eggs over rice. The chicken is cooked in a sweet broth with onions, then scrambled egg is added and then it is poured over rice. It was a nice surprise today! 🍴

Have a great evening!

こんばんは! Hi all, how’s it going?

So tonight I went to Koa’s school for an Honors Band meeting. He found out last week that he made it into the top band at school! It’s pretty great, but he’ll have to practice very hard at his percussion this coming year. Tonight’s meeting was all about their December trip to the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, where they will perform. Koa’s pretty excited about it! Besides the clinic, they will have plenty of activities, including going to see Blue Man Group, going to the Shedd Aquarium, and seeing the Chicago Bulls. I’m sure he is going to have a great time. He is so into his percussion and practices quite a bit each day and it’s cool to see all his hard work pay off!

Today’s photo is of the entrance to my office building. I usually arrive at 7:30am, which is pretty early, but I like it because I can get a lot of work done before things get too crazy.

Well, the work week is past the halfway point! Onward and upward!

おやすみなさい!
