We had a guest come over for dinner so we made a variety of dishes to enjoy. Mariko made burrata and tomato over toasted baguette, I grilled a skirt steak, Bay made deep fried mashed potatoes, and our guest brought over a kale and pine nut salad. Mmmmm!
This morning I woke up early and went for a fun motorcycle ride. First, I went to Lime Creek Road which is a twisty two-lane route that is one of the better ones in the area for motorcyclists. Even though it is very close to where I live, I have only ridden it a couple of times, but I highly recommend this route!
After that, I rode around downtown Austin before stopping for coffee at Sa-Ten, and then headed back home. A fun morning!
Please check out the video I made of the Lime Creek Road portion of the ride:
Koa’s high school band had their spring concert tonight. I had thought that their UIL contest performance would be the last concert for us to see, but I was mistaken. We got to see and listen to them one last time!
Besides being the final show, the band was honored with a Sousa Flag, which we’ve learned is a rare honor (only 87 have been awarded in the ~40 years of the program’s existence).
With graduation just a week away, I can confidently say that this was reall the last concert. 😀 It’s been a fun part of our kids’ school experience to watch!
Mariko brought a couple of growlers back from Colorado, but they are so huge that we were worried it would be too much for just two of us to drink at dinner, so they’ve been sitting in the fridge. Well, tonight was the night! And actually, it was a good size for two of us. 🙂

My camera & photos
I use a Fujifilm X-series camera for most of the photos on this site and my Instagram. Why not pick one up for yourself?
