Loving Curbside

As the COVID-19 pandemic surges yet again, I am thankful for HEB’s curbside service. I believe the products are marked up about 3%, but it’s so convenient to shop online and have the groceries placed into the back of the car by an HEB employee that I believe it’s well worth the extra cost. And judging by the number of other shoppers using the service, it’s gaining in popularity during the Delta variant surge.

Unstable Skies

Hurricane Ida is churning in the Gulf of Mexico and up here in Austin we are seeing the outer band of clouds. It makes for a lot of interesting cloud formations in the sky but I just hope there won’t be too much hurricane damage along the coast…

It’s been a while since I made a time-lapse video using my Fujifilm X-E4 but today was a great opportunity. Enjoy!

Fleeting Color

This was my view of the sky from my place at our dinner table. The light only lasted several seconds but luckily I had my Fujifilm X-E4 nearby to capture it. Half a minute later, the color had faded from the cloud and was replaced by a greyish blue, which was still lovely but not nearly as as dramatic. I was happy to view this change until I thought about all the moments like this that go unnoticed and then I felt a little sadness.
