I just wrapped up The Hot Spot and jumped right into The Story of Pearl Girl. I must be in the mood for a historical Chinese drama because this one already looks like it’s going to be a good watch! I even mentioned it on Threads and ended up with a few more recommendations. Now my watchlist is getting a bit out of control…

I just wrapped up the 10-episode Japanese drama The Hot Spot and I loved every minute of it. The humor was subtle and understated, which worked perfectly thanks to the excellent acting. I caught myself laughing out loud so many times!

After posting about it on Threads, I even got a few more recommendations, so I’m excited to dive into those next. If you’re looking for something fun to watch, give The Hot Spot on Netflix a try – I think you’ll really enjoy it!

House Slippers

Koa’s back home, which means there are usually two pairs of slippers lined up at the foot of the stairs whenever he and Mariko are upstairs. Bay’s here too, but he’s got his one trusty pair that makes the rounds both upstairs and downstairs.

And of course, I keep up my little tradition of turning the slippers so they’re ready to slide into the moment everyone comes downstairs. It’s a tiny detail, but it makes me smile to myself!
