We spent the day at Circuit of the Americas watching Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP. Seeing – and hearing – the world’s best riders fly around the track never gets old. What a day. 🏍️

New Battery for Kiki

Kiki’s battery gave up after just one year. That might be a record for me. 🪫

It turns out the distilled water had evaporated, which damaged the cells. My theory is that the shop never properly activated it with electrolyte when I bought it, but who knows. Either way, the new battery comes tomorrow.

This time I’m topping it up myself and setting a monthly reminder to check the water level. Fingers crossed this one lasts a little longer!

Sunset Skies Over the Neighborhood

I went out for an evening run around the neighborhood tonight and ended up spending half the time looking up. 😄 The clouds were gorgeous, and with the sun setting, the colors were something else. I even caught a few birds flying in front of one of the clouds, and an airplane streaking right past the moon. Not a bad way to end the day. 🌙

A Warm Day on the Brushy Creek Regional Trail

Piplup (my Brompton C-Line folding bike) and I hit the Brushy Creek Regional Trail today. It’s one of my favorite spots for both cycling and running, and today did not disappoint. The water looked gorgeous, and the air had that perfect warm feeling that makes you want to stay out longer than you planned. 🚲

I did spot a few bluebonnets along the way, but they were looking a little rough, so I left the camera alone. I’m not sure if they’re just getting started or already on their way out. I guess I’ll have to go back and check! 🌸
