“Cat Pants” Cedar Park, 2022
My brother always sends funky gifts. This was an early birthday present. I love these pants!

Tonight my good friend Mikey and I went to watch Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island at the Alamo Drafthouse. I don’t know anything about Gundam besides them being giant soldier-robots, so I didn’t know what to expect, but I was interested and it’s a perfect movie to see with Mikey. (when an anime is showing at the theater in Austin, Mikey and I will most likely go see it together)
It was a fun show! The battles were pretty cool, although there weren’t as many as I thought there might be. I liked all the characters and there were some funny jokes scattered through the story. I don’t think it will win any awards, but it was entertaining, nonetheless, and made for a nice evening!

Tonight we went to a birthday party for a friend who requested udon. It was a lot of fun! I got to roll out the dough for a bit, and wow, that is tough work! But our friends are professionals, so even with my poor effort, the udon was in good hands. 😀
We also enjoyed a nice selection of saké, played with the hosts dogs and cats, and ate cake. It was awesome. I haven’t eaten udon too many times before, but I am growing to appreciate it. Double onsen-tamago is also nice. I love eggs!

While decluttering, I found a bag of about 75 tea candles. I didn’t realize we had collected so many! So, I am going to make an effort to use them more often. I wonder how many months it will take to get through them all. 🤔
