This evening we ordered take-out from one of our favorite “fast-casual” Indian restaurants, Tarka Indian Kitchen. Koa was out with friends for dinner, so it was just for Mariko and I eating at home. Before we started eating, I sent the photo above to him to gloat a bit, and he replied with an unhappy emoji. Later that evening, he said the food looked so good that he and his friends ended up getting food from Tarka later! 😁

Mariko made chicken tikka masala and naan for our dinner tonight. It was super yummy and I ate way too much. Actually, my portion wasn’t too large but I didn’t eat much all day today so my stomach shrunk a bit. That’s my guess.

After dinner I started on my usual 5 km run, but I felt so sluggish that I decided to cut it a bit shorter than usual. That’s okay though… I’m happy that I at least got out there. 😀

I hope you had a great day! またね~

Tonight we enjoyed a homemade Indian meal that Mariko made. The recipes are from Japanese sources, so I’m assuming it has been adjusted for a Japanese palette, but I really don’t know. What I do know is that it was delicious. 😀

In other news, I went for a run today at lunch. It was good to get some sunshine on my skin even for a little while. I prefer to run when the weather is warm or hot, but running in the cold is okay once in a while. As long as there’s sun!

Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and Pani Puri to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Yum!

During the COVID-19 situation we don’t usually have people over, but for an event like this we set up the deck with socially-distanced seating so Mariko and two of her friends could enjoy some time together.
