Feast at Asia Cafe
Here are a few photos from a farewell dinner we had at Asia Cafe. My favorite dish “Spicy Fish” is the last photo. We got a double-order! 😀
Bluebonnets on the Hike & Bike
A lunchtime ride to the nearby hike & bike trail was made special by a bluebonnet explosion! This year is actually not the best because of rain conditions, but there were some really nice patches of color. And they matched Sophie’s paint nicely too. 😆
If you have a few minutes, why not come for a ride with us:
Too Many Storms
We’ve lived in central Texas for over 20 years now, and we’ve never seen so many tornado warnings. Or perhaps we’ve had plenty of warnings, but this year there have been several actual tornadoes touching the ground near us. It’s pretty scary.
This afternoon, the tornadoes touched down about 40 miles to the north of us in Salado, and a few weeks before that, a tornado touched down about 10 miles away in Round Rock. That’s so close!
Today’s photo is of one of the massive clouds that might have been the one that spawned the tornado up north. Luckily it passed us by without incident.

Stay safe, everyone!
Old Movie
Tonight I watched “The Snake Girl and the Silver-Haired Witch / 蛇娘と白髪魔”, a Japanese horror film from 1968. I enjoyed watching it, not because the story was good, but I because I thought the props and special effects were interesting for the era. There were plenty of snakes, both real and fake, flying swords that turned into snakes, and creepy dream sequences. Lots of fun!
