The other day, I put the original watch band that came with my Seiko SXK007 back on. I had removed it when I first got the watch because it was so hard and uncomfortable, replacing it with a variety of NATO/Zulu bands, which I liked.

Recently, I read a review about the original band saying it just takes a few days to break in and then it’s fine. And it’s true! It’s still hard, but now that it is holding its round shape, it is very comfortable and I like the classic dive-watch look. I think I’ll keep it like this for a while. 😀

Gudetama Spray Bottle

Mariko bought this little shoyu spray bottle the other day. We love gudetama ぐでたま and this is very convenient. We last used it on some shumai, and I’m not sure the spray has any advantage except being fun to use. 😄 But that’s important too!

As far as the shoyu, I guess it tastes fine.

Watching The Blue Devils in San Antonio

Since late May, Koa has been away from home traveling, practicing, and performing with his DCI team, The Blue Devils. This weekend they are in Texas, so we went to their rehearsal in Pearsall, and then we went to the DCI competition at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The show was awesome (all the bands were impressive!) but it was just good to see Koa again since it’s been a couple of months since he left.

I’m glad he’s having a blast this summer!
