Tonight we celebrated Setsubun by eating ehōmaki while facing this year’s lucky direction, North-Northwest. The sushi was delicious and filling. It’s one (Kansai) Japanese tradition that I truly love!

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics have begun, which means it’s time to break out the Team USA ski hats!

We don’t have “regular” television anymore, so I had to buy a month of Peacock TV to watch the events. So far I have been enjoying the coverage of hockey and curling, but cant wait until the snowboarding starts. I love those events!

A big pot of Cioppino filled the house with an amazing aroma this afternoon. Mariko had a few friends over for dinner, and the cioppino was the main dish, with salads and focaccia accompanying it. In addition, she made a beautiful cheese board. So cool! I’m always so grateful to be able to enjoy food like this at home. ☺️

“Desk Setup” Cedar Park, 2022

Here’s a photo of my current desk setup that I use for work and home use. This is the home setup, with my MacBook Air plugged into my monitor using an HDMI adapter. When it’s time for me to work in the day, I will plug my work laptop onto the left side of the monitor. It is connected via a DisplayPort cable, and I will just select that input in the monitor’s settings. I also have my old Dell desktop PC hooked up to the monitor via a DVI cable.

So far, it’s working out nicely and  my cable situation is under control, but I am pretty sure I can tidy it up even more with some cable ties.

The next step is to declutter the little shelf I have behind my MacBook, and possible remove the shelf altogether. That’s the dream! 😀
