I made a big batch of chili and we used it for chili dogs. Unfortunately, Koa’s dog experienced a roll-over, which I imagine is not an uncommon occurrence. Still, I had to capture it on “film” for posterity. 😆
I hope you had a good day!

This morning I went to the grocery store to restock our fridge. It was very strange to be outside and see other people since I’ve been home for three weeks, just going outside to run in the neighborhood. I was happy to see that most of the people were wearing masks, and everyone was practicing social distancing. Our supermarket only permits a limited amount of people inside the store at a time, so the aisles are not very crowded and we can all keep a safe distance away from each other. But there’s no denying that the mood was somber. 🙁
Keep your spirits up, as best you can!
Because we cannot go out to eat, Koa’s birthday dinner was made at home this year. Actually, many of our birthday dinners are homemade because Mariko is an amazing cook, and tonight’s meal was no different. The tortellini she made was all done by hand and tasted great! I think Koa was very happy. 😀 For dessert, we had a homemade cheesecake, and as a nice surprise, Koa’s friend made an apple crumble pie for him. Yay!
I hope you had a good day.

Today we had a little bit of a scheduling challenge at home. Bay had to give a presentation at the same time that Koa had a band meeting/class. Of course, band instruments can be very loud, but luckily, Koa was able to attend the session from the backyard. 😀 Bay’s presentation went well, with no Internet connection issues while he was presenting, and Koa was able to join in with his band. With the current situation of “sheltering at home” during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ll just have to take these situations one at a time. It’s honestly not too much of a problem, all things considered.
Stay safe, everyone!

All finished! This is the character Alba, from the movie/novel Diva from 1981. It’s my absolute favorite movie, and I am glad I got to see it on the big screen a couple of years ago with Bay.
Please take a look at the Procreate time-lapse at the below the illustration.
I hope you had a nice day!
