We drove out to Fredericksburg for a couple of wine tastings, and one of the back roads we took was lined with bluebonnets and other wildflowers. It was stunning. Unfortunately, there weren’t many convenient places to pull over without actually driving over the flowers, so the photos I managed to take weren’t at the best spot, but it was still pretty nice.

It turns out that this year was a good year for the bluebonnets!

I rode my Brompton to pick up the mail this evening, and the weather and light was so beautiful that I went for a nice ride around the neighborhood. Blue hour is so great!

We brought back a bottle of Kohala brand kimchee from Maui and tried it this evening. It had a very mild taste and a more yellow color, but still had plenty of heat. Not bad, but I prefer a more flavorful, more fermented kimchee. I suppose this one might be a good kimchee to introduce to a newbie though!
