Today we met some friends for a sushi lunch at Takao. Mariko and I have been here a few times for our anniversary dinner, but this was the first time visiting in the daytime. It was yummy as always. Definitely recommend!

Running in the Old Neighborhood

Today I ran by my old elementary school. It always brings back plenty of memories (mostly good). This time, I recalled the Thanskgiving lunches we had, including the mashed potatoes which I thought were great. Thank you, lunch ladies!

I am enjoying playing this old Kamaka ukulele, which my dad has had it since he was a kid. I gently cleaned it with a damp cloth, and changed strings and it sounds nice! The tuners don’t hold tune very well, but that’s okay. It just adds to the charm. 😀

A Mild Level-10 Curry

When we visit our family in Torrance, we always get CoCo Curry, and I order mine with the spiciness level at 10. This year, the 10 was the least spicy it has ever been. I didn’t even break a sweat. Mildly disappointed… but it still tasted yummy. And it’s nice to be in California starting our vacation!

Last Harvest of the Year

I brought in these peppers before the freeze comes. Our last harvest of the year! Which is fine because I need to start the new seedlings right when the new year begins. Harvesting peppers in November and December is too late for us.
