こんばんは。How’s it going?
We had a really nice sunset today, with some fast-moving clouds. I set up my camera for a quick time lapse. It’s very short because there were only a few moments left of light. Check it out!
We’re so happy to have found an Orthodontist we like, and one of the nice things about them is their cool and comfy office. A nice selection of magazines, free coffee and water, and beautiful view really make a difference!

A few years ago, we used to keep a stepping stool next to our bed for our cat Miki, who needed help as she got older. One of our current cats, Anko, is a little overweight and jumping is a bit of a challenge, so I brought the little step stool out again. Gotta help out our furry friends! 😺
I hit the trail today with an almost-fully-loaded backpack (only missing food and clothes) to test out my set up. The backpack was comfortable and I worked out a few things, including how to carry my camera and if I prefer hiking with one or two trekking poles (single is better). In addition, my 700 ml bottle on the shoulder strap works great! I’m happy the water bottle sleeve I picked up from Daiso will see service. 😊

I only put in a mile and a half, but the hike was really nice with some great views. On the trail I saw several other people and I must have looked odd hiking with a huge backpack while a water bottle was all that was really needed. But I didn’t get any comments on the pack. Which is a shame… I was looking forward to explaining my training for the upcoming Big Bend trip!

I bought these instant coffee packets at the supermarket today. Each box cost less than a dollar, whereas if you buy “backpacking coffee”, you’ll be paying over a dollar per packet. Granted, the backpacking coffee is supposed to be much tastier, the price is over my threshold. 😄
