Today I went with my coworkers to play “The Escape Game”. It was so fun! If you don’t know what escape rooms are, it’s basically a room with a series of puzzles that you need to figure out, and each solved puzzle leads you to the next puzzle, often leading to other rooms. What’s really cool though is that each game has a theme and corresponding level of difficulty.

The theme we chose was called Prison Break and we started off in jail cells, with the main objective being to break out of the prison. I won’t give any of the details away, but I’ll just say that it was a ton of fun, and the puzzles were really creative. Prison Break is the highest level of difficulty, and we weren’t able to escape within the 1-hour time limit. We were only 3 puzzles away, but they were really challenging!

I recommend experiencing one of these escape rooms with your friends at least once… it’s definitely a good time.

Hope you had a nice day!

The weather forecast for tomorrow is a chilly 55° F, which kind of crazy because it was 81° F today. And then Wednesday the high will only be in the 40s. The important thing about that drop in temperature is that it means it’s a great time for cold-weather meals!

Tonight we enjoyed a yummy Japanese curry, 🍛 with pork and potatoes, accompanied by a “Christmas” macaroni salad. It had red and green pasta in it, hence the name.

We all love curry year-round, but it’s especially great in the Winter. I can’t wait another cold-weather favorite: Oden. I know it’s coming soon!

I hope you had a nice day.

This morning I went to an event at Precision Camera here in Austin. They have a it a couple times a year and I usually head down there with some friends who are into photography to check out some of the free seminars, shop, and have lunch.

The store gives away gift certificates ranging from $10 – $100 to the first 51 people so we arrive early to get our space in line. Unfortunately, I only got a $10 certificate (the 3rd time) but my friend won $50 (his second time!) so that was pretty cool. I ended up buying a non-photography-related item: a combo bottle-opener/flashlight for $9. Not bad, and I appreciate the freebie!

As has become a tradition, we went for a burger at Hopdoddy, and that was super-tasty. 🍔 Add an egg for $1? 🍳 Of course!

I hope you had a nice Saturday.
