Hi everyone. It’s late… 11:45 PM here, and I will write this quickly because I am so sleepy. Tonight we had some good friends over for “Kaiju Nite 6”. We like to watch Kaiju (giant monster) movies every half-year or so, and this was our sixth get-together. Previous themes have been Godzilla, Gamera, Mothra, etc, but tonight’s theme was Tokusatsu TV, with television episodes ranging from 1966-1973. We watched Ultraman, Iron King, Kikaida, Kamen Rider, and others, plus Mikey brought over toys and lyrics sheets so we could sing along to all the tv show themes. It was a lot of fun! And as always, the food and drink selections were delicious.

こんばんは! Hello, everyone! How was your Tuesday?
Mine was pretty good. On the work front, I am finally catching up with all my tasks and can now start working on projects that have kept getting pushed back. This feels good! ☺️
Today’s photo is of my dinner this evening. It’s spicy salmon bowl, with avocado… and it was delicious! For lunch I had a tuna sandwich which was also yummy, so today was an all-fish day. And a few days this past week, I didn’t have any meat whatsoever. I think this is a good thing too. (although on Sunday we did have a full rack of baby-back ribs at home) I kind of want to eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and for breakfast I’ve been having a healthy mix of dried fruit and nuts. Plus lots of water! I guess what I am trying to say (badly, apparently) is that I am starting to eat healthier!
I’m pretty tired right now, though, since I woke up pretty early today. So I’ll say goodnight and get some rest! おやすみなさい!

こんばんは!Hi everyone, how’s it going? How was your Monday?
Mine was pretty good, although I ate way too many sweets today. As you may or may not know, I don’t usually eat sweets or sugary things like sodas. I don’t have too much of a sweet tooth to begin with, but since I don’t eat candy regularly I don’t crave it either. But today I had a lot of sweets!
A coworker is visiting from Sweden this week and he brought some chocolates so of course I had to try a couple of them 🍫 (they were delicious) and then there was some dessert in the breakroom after lunch. I didn’t partake in the chocolate or carrot cake, but I did have some Bluebell Dutch Chocolate ice cream 🍦 (also delicious). Then this evening we had some cookies. 🍪 That’s way too much sugar for me!
But besides all the sweet stuff, I had a whole lot of curry as well. We went out to lunch at a Thai restaurant where I had a super-spicy green curry and rice. It was tasty! As I mentioned before, I love Thai food. I could eat it every day. Well, maybe not that often, but I do enjoy it a lot.
Finally for dinner, my wife made a gigantic pot of Japanese beef curry which is always a favorite. 🍛 We had it with eggs and rice for the perfect meal. I always eat too much, but I cannot help myself… I’m sure you understand. Doesn’t it look delicious?

こんばんは!Happy Friday! 😀
In yesterday’s post I mentioned that this week has been going by so fast. I was wondering if today it would slow down and drag on… but no, it kept on flying by! I think although I am very busy, I am having fun, and you know what they say, right? Time flies when you’re having fun!
Speaking of fun, last night I printed out 8 Instax prints. Why did I print so many? Well, I bought some new print sleeves and they looks nice and fun. A little crafty but I like them a lot. I’ll post a pic tomorrow, when the light is better (as usual, I am blogging at night before I go to bed).
The Instax Printer continues to be a lot of fun… I have a few things that I think are important and I don’t place restrictions on when buying or creating. One of them is photo books, and another is printing photos! It’s kind of an interesting aspect of photography for me. I get a lot of pleasure from snapping photos, processing the images, printing the photos, and looking at the prints. Photography is so cool because there are so many angles to the entire process. And there are other aspects that I haven’t even explored, such as exhibiting larger prints. Something to look forward to for sure.
Today’s photo is of some harumaki (egg rolls) that we had alongside some Thai curry for dinner. The harumaki looked better than they tasted, honestly. These were store-bought frozen egg rolls, but deep-fried so they look really good and had a nice flaky crunch to them.
Well, it’s time to get some rest. I wake up early on Saturday’s too so I need by beauty rest. 😜

こんばんは!Hello! How’s it going?
Today was a good day for me. I got so much work done in the morning that the rest of the day just flowed along nicely! I guess this happens quite often, and it’s good that I am a morning person because when I am productive, it sets up the rest of the day to go smoothly. But the day didn’t start out very nicely… I woke up stressed-out about all the things I have to do at work. However, after I went through my morning routine and was fully awake, my workload didn’t seem that crazy and it just got better from there. I notice that a lot of mornings go like this, so when I wake up and am stressed-out, I now realize that it will soon pass and that makes it a lot easier to deal with.
So the day was going well, and then I got a huge boost when Mariko asked what I wanted for dinner, and Oyakodon was one of the choices. So of course I chose that! I think I might have mentioned that Okonomiyaki is my favorite food, but I have to change my mind and say that Oyakodon is my absolute favorite food. It’s what I ask for as my birthday meal, and if I had to choose my last meal on Earth, it would be Oyakodon.
Tonight’s dinner was DELICIOUS!!!

Mariko was surprised when I first told her that I wanted to eat Oyakodon for my birthday, but now I think she has grown used to it. Maybe she thought I was joking at first, but after so many years of always choosing Oyakodon, I must be serious! 😜
Related to food, tonight’s photo (14 of my 365 project) at the top of this post is a cool little metal box of shelves. It holds hashi (chopsticks) rests that Mariko made in her pottery class. I think it’s really neat! 👍
I hope you also had a great day. Let’s have a good Friday as well!
おやすみなさい!
