We enjoyed our leftover Osechi new years meal in a yummy curry. It’s actually a tradition which I am so happy exists! It’s the only time I get to have lotus root in curry. 😀

On a related note, I was chatting with someone online about curry, and she was wondering why Java curry comes divided into 8 parts, but the package indicates 9 servings. I had to check for myself… so strange!! 🤣

Lunch Ride

I went for a lunch ride with Piplup, my Brompton bicycle, today along the hike and bike trail. It was a yucky, grey, and cold day as you can see from the picture. But the upside was that there weren’t many people on the trail. So that was nice. 😄

Today I finished up the Japanese dorama “Mental Tsuyome Bijo Shirakawa-san“. I haven’t watched a dorama in a while, but I think this one has gotten me back on the wagon. As far as stories go, it’s nothing too special, but I did pick up a few bits of wisdom that I think will be valuable in real life, so I am happy. All-in-all I did enjoy this one! I think I am pretty good at deciding pretty early on in a series if I want to continue or not. It feels good to just say, “no, this isn’t for me” and not feel guilty about not finishing.
