I started writing my Morning Pages a few months ago, and since then I’ve completed two notebooks. Today I am starting a new one, so I need to choose from my unused collection. Most of these are just blank pages (no lines or grid) so I’m not sure how the writing will go, but I’m not too worried about it. I’m mainly just happy that I’ve been able to keep at it almost every day. It’s so therapeutic to write out my thoughts without censorship, editing, or worrying about grammar, spelling, or penmanship.

And it’s such a treat to take the finished notebook and throw it into the recycling bin. Onto the next notebook!

Thanksgiving Holiday

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with a delicious meal for four. Our menu included roasted turkey, brussel sprouts, kabocha, garlic dill mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and oyster stuffing. Since it was just a small group, I found the smallest turkey at the grocery store, which was about 10 pounds. It was more than enough!

I really enjoy roasting small turkeys. They cook much faster than large turkeys, and they’re always easier to handle. Plus, we always have leftovers, which is a bonus!

I hope those who had the day off also enjoyed their Thanksgiving!

Cats and Boxes

So a few weeks ago we ordered something that came in a big box. The cats took a liking to it, so we kept it for them. And then we got another box. And they like that too. And another… So we’ve built a little collection of boxes for them. Even the smallest box, a shoebox, is irresistible to Anko. Out of curiosity, I placed an empty egg carton next to her shoebox to see if she’d show any interest. Unfortunately, she ignared it. Or should I say “fortunately”?

I spent some time today crafting a pair of emotes for my Twitch channel. While I commissioned an artist to create one for me last week, I decided to try my hand at making my own. I’m pleased with how my initial attempts turned out! The next step involves working through my emote list and bringing the rest to life. Using Procreate on my iPad is really fun, and I’m excited about creating the entire set!

Inspection Time

Today, I completed the safety inspection for my car. I vaguely recall hearing about Texas possibly discontinuing safety inspections, though I might be mistaken. If it turns out to be true, it could mean the closure of all these inspection stations. While it’s unfortunate for the business owners, it would be a positive change for us drivers!
